What this is

Purple Turtle publishes general investment research: a fixed set of rules applied to the 500 largest US companies, with the same output sent to every reader on a fixed schedule. The rules behind the screen are published in full; the list of companies they produce, and the weight of each, is what a subscription buys. All figures shown are backtested.

What this is not

It is not a personal recommendation and not investment advice. No assessment has been made of your circumstances, objectives, knowledge, or financial situation, and none will be. No advisory or fiduciary relationship is created by reading this site or by subscribing to it. We never hold your money, never place a trade, and never see your account. Every decision and every order is yours.

The producer is not authorised or supervised by Finanstilsynet and is not licensed to provide investment advice in any jurisdiction.

Where it is offered

Subscriptions are available to residents of the EU and EEA only. The service is not offered to US or UK persons, and nothing on this site is an offer or solicitation in any jurisdiction where that would require authorisation.

Performance figures

All returns shown are backtested, not the record of a real account. They are stated after trading costs and after a 30% loss on any holding that stopped trading, and they include periods of severe loss: the worst half-year in the record for each portfolio is stated on its own page. Backtested results benefit from hindsight in ways a real investor does not. Past performance does not predict future results, and you can lose money.

Your subscription

€19 a month, after a seven-day trial. The card is taken at signup by Fungies, which acts as merchant of record; no card details are held on this site. Cancelling inside the trial charges nothing.

Subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. Because this is digital content delivered immediately, you will be asked at checkout to consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. If you do not consent, the statutory withdrawal period applies and access begins after it.

Research is for your own use. Redistributing, republishing or reselling the holdings lists is not permitted.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim arising out of this service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Law and forum

Danish law applies, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction.
